In the beautiful city of Rome between Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps lays Hotel de Russie – a five star hotel.

From the outside it doesn’t look like much, until you enter….

Greeted by the doorman I felt like, I entered a totally different world – than the one I came from in the busy , humid and warm streets of Rome. A sanctuary, a garden, a quiet place…a little piece of Heaven – well hidden in Rome.

Along the hallways of the hotel, several designer labels had their “art pieces” on display – felt like a museum of high fashion – loved it!

 

Now I was there to visit the spa – even though I could have spent hours and hours on the outside terrasse sipping cold wine and enjoying a plate of delightful pasta – (try it!)

The spa is all in bright and baby blue colors – very easy on the eyes. And gives just the right feeling of, what a spa is all about – tranquility and water.

The spa has jacuzzi, sauna, hamman and steam zone – all co-ed. The beds in the spa area was nice and comfortable – I felt instantly relaxed and with the sound of water in my ears, it didn’t take long to fall back in a relaxed mode.

 

 

 

There wasn’t many guests, while I was there – so more or less had the whole area to myself. Which in my opinion was heaven – just what you need after some hot days in Rome visiting  the many beautiful places.

The changing area was also held in the blue colors and complimented the rest of the spa perfectly. The products provided in the shower was all by REN – as the products provided in the rooms for hotel guests.

 

All in all a nice experience in the spa – very relaxing surroundings. However, the hotel and the outdoor areas is a must-see/must-try, when you’re in Rome. So beautiful and soothing for your soul. The flower arrangements are above and beyond! Just look at this!
